The European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) has published an invitation to tender with reference EMSA/OP/10/2018 for “Contracts for RPAS VTOL Services for Emissions Monitoring and Maritime Surveillance”. The objective of this call for tender is to contract Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) services in the civil maritime domain in support of Emissions Monitoring and Maritime Surveillance activities. The provision of cost-efficient RPAS services in the maritime domain should include assets, tools and relevant expert staff to pilot the RPA, capture and disseminate the data.
There are 2 lots :
– VTOL RPAS For Emissions Monitoring (The RPAS must be able to take off from and land on shore and will focus on short range operations)
– VTOL RPAS For Maritime Surveillance (The RPAS platforms must be able to take off from and land vertically on shore and vessels operated by the users and will focus on short range operations)
The tender closing date is 18 June 2018, and all submissions must be made electronically.
