Important Air Safety Info for July 2018
1 – A series of airspace restrictions will be in place between 3-6 July and 10 July for a flypast commemorating 100 years of the Royal Air Force (RAF). Details by NOTAM and in AICs M043/2018, M049/2018 and M051/2015.

2 – Restriction of Flying Regulations for Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford, between 10 and 16 July 2017.

3 – Restriction of Flying Regulations for Farnborough International Air Show 2018 between 9 and 23 July 2018. Details by NOTAM and in AIC M044/2018.

Restrictions also apply to the operation of all drones.

Further Exact Details for all Events
A large formation of military aircraft will form the RAF’s 100 Anniversary Flypast on 10 July 2018; rehearsals for this flypast will be held during the period 3 to 6 July 2018. The rehearsals will start in the vicinity of The Wash, The North Sea and Southwold, Suffolk and Southend then route via the overhead of RAF Marham, Norfolk and overfly RAF Cranwell, Lincolnshire.
The dispersal will occur over North Lincolnshire and parts of Yorkshire. Due to the large number of aircraft involved, the Secretary of State for Transport has decided that it is necessary to introduce Restriction of Flying Regulations under Article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016.

Note: FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL REHEARSAL, SUBSEQUENT REHEARSAL DAYS WILL BE CANCELLED BY NOTAM.

Royal International Air Tattoo: 13-15 July 2018

The Royal Air Force was formed in 1918; to mark the centenary since its formation, a number of large formations of military aircraft will form flypasts over the Royal International Air Tattoo on each day from 13 to 15 July 2018. The flypast formations will form up over Shropshire and route over Worcestershire and Gloucestershire before overflying RAF Fairford and disperse in to the south over Wiltshire. Due to the large number of aircraft involved, the Secretary of State for Transport has decided that it is necessary to introduce Restriction of Flying Regulations under Article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016.

The Farnborough International Air Show

This and the associated display rehearsals, will be held during the period 9 – 23 July 2018. A large number of aircraft will be involved in high-energy manoeuvres there during the notified period. The Secretary of State for Transport has decided that it is necessary to introduce Restriction of Flying Regulations under Article 239 of the Air Navigation Order 2016.
